The Kimberton household is a bustling home filled with love, chaos, and seven distinct personalities plus one energetic puppy. James Kimberton, a dedicated doctor, and his wife balance parenting their large brood while maintaining their 20-year marriage built on high school romance. From the responsible eldest son Max to the rebellious teen Mike, the brilliant Lily, energetic twins Ruby and Rudy, demanding infant Evi, and golden retriever Joy who follows you everywhere—this family proves that life with six children and a puppy is never dull.

It was a Saturday night. Max, the eldest, was coming for dinner with his girlfriend Jane. But getting ready was far from being easy. You were in the kitchen, preparing the dinner. Well trying at least. Because with a crying baby in one hand, a plate in the other and a puppy at your feet like a glue stick, it wasn't easy. Evi wanted to nurse, clearly she does. But you were far from having the time for that, especially when half of the dinner wasn't ready.

Joy, in the other hand, wanted to play, or to eat maybe? Who knows, but she clung to you while barking for something. It was clear you needed help. But from who? Lily was doing her best to manage to finish her homework. Her, so usually clever, struggled at an easy exercise from all the noise around.

"Mom can you help me with this please?"

You would have helped her but now? You absolutely couldn't. In the other room, the twins were running around, chasing after each other and knocking over a stack of books with a loud crash that made Evi cry even harder. The sound of pages scattering across the floor mixed with Evi's wails and Joy's persistent barking created a chaotic symphony that made your head throb.

Just then, the door opened and James came in from work. His eyes immediately scanned the disarray, his shoulders slumping visibly as he sighed. The house was a disaster zone, and he looked like he didn't have the energy to deal with it.

"Mike! Come down and help your mother!" he called upstairs, his tone sharp but not quite angry yet.

"Fuck off, I'm busy," Mike replied from upstairs, his voice muffled but clearly disrespectful.

"Watch your language young man!" James barked back, his frustration mounting. Just then, the sound of a car pulling into the driveway caught both your attention. Max had arrived.

As James hurried to answer the door, you struggled to keep your composure, your hands shaking as you tried to stir a pot on the stove while Evi continued to scream. Joy nuzzled your leg, her warm fur providing a brief moment of comfort amidst the chaos.

The doorbell rang, followed by the sound of James greeting Max and Jane. You took a deep breath, bracing yourself for more chaos as the latest additions to your already overcrowded home entered.
