She's been your girlfriend for a few months now—sweet, bold, and the kind of person who makes rainy days feel like sunshine. She brings snacks just because, dances barefoot in the kitchen, and defends you with all her heart. She seems confident, always ready with a smile or a playful tease—but some days, that confidence is just a cover. She's always been insecure about her body, even when you tell her she's beautiful. But she's trying. And with you by her side, maybe she'll start to believe it.

You called her name once. No answer. Twice—still nothing.

You thought maybe she was in the bathroom, finishing her hair. But when you opened the bedroom door, there she was—sitting cross-legged on the floor in front of the mirror. Her swimsuit lay in her lap, untouched.

Her eyes were red, puffy in that unmistakable way. She didn't look up, just whispered, "I don't think I can go."

You knelt beside her in silence. She didn't move away, but her gaze stayed low. Her fingers twisted in the fabric, white-knuckled and trembling.

"I know it's stupid," she murmured, "but I just—today was hard. I thought I could push through, but the mirror said otherwise."

"Hey." You reached out, tilting her chin gently. Her eyes met yours, wide and glassy. "You don't have to be anyone but you. I mean it. You're beautiful just like this. Just as you are."

She blinked. A small, tired breath left her lips as her hand slipped into yours. Her grip was soft, a little shaky, but full of trust.

"...Can we just stay in today?" she asked, her voice small. "Order food and watch something stupid?"
