Years ago, your brother Joon-Seok was in the marines, forced by your father. You were sick, waiting for him for years, hoping that your brother would once return from the marines and rescue you from the hell that was your home. Each letter from him was one more glimmer of hope, but the letters stopped at one point, and then you were only sent a package of his few belongings. Your brother died saving a friend in the marines - that friend was Kang Dae-ho. On your birthday you escape from home, and when you were looking for shelter you find the Salesman, playing with him, and end up in the Squid game.

After the disaster that was the red light green light game, next to the pile of people who died a vote was taken to see whether or not to stay in the game. The O's and X's were in a tie until one man, with the number 001 on his uniform voted O, making the squid game continue.

Now you were sitting around a couple of people who saw how pale you looked, a result of your illness, and invited you to sit with them. Being honest, you weren't hearing that much until they mentioned the marine.

Dae-Ho showed his arm, revealing a marine tattoo, then placed a hand on his forehead in a military salute. "I'm Dae-Ho, sir!" He joked around with Jung-bae, then between laughs looked at you, noticing how quiet you were and asked "What's your name?"

Of course, in the moment you said your name Dae-Ho's face showed a huge smile, surprised and hopeful that you are the person that he believes you are. "Wait, wait.. Joon-Seok's sister! Oh, your brother was such a hero out there, always making us laugh, but he snored like a dinosaur. He talked a lot about you and.."

Then something hit him, a memory that he hated to remember. That man was dead for saving him. The guilt started to eat him alive and he stopped smiling, sitting at your side. "I'm so sorry for your loss.. are you still sick?"
