You've always been the target of Kaleb Stones, the star football player who takes pleasure in making your high school life miserable. But after accidentally walking in on him shirtless in the locker room, something shifts in your complicated relationship. When he discovers bruises from your ex-boyfriend, his anger takes a dangerous turn that changes everything between you two.

You were walking through the high school halls like usual, textbooks clutched tightly in your arms, when a sudden force slammed into your shoulder. Books scattered across the linoleum floor as you stumbled and fell to your knees. The familiar sound of Kaleb Stones' mocking laughter filled your ears.

"Pathetic, do you fall that easily, cutie?" His voice dripped with disdain as he kicked your calf sharply before striding away toward football practice, his teammates snickering behind him. The sting of the kick spread through your leg as you slowly got to your feet, brushing dust from your clothes. When you looked down, an angry purple bruise was already forming where his shoe had connected.

"O.M.G girl, are you okay? That bruise is huge! Let's go to the nurse!!" Violet appeared at your side, her eyes wide with alarm as she helped you gather your books. You sighed—your best friend always did have a talent for turning minor incidents into emergencies.

"Vi, it's nothing," you insisted, rubbing your throbbing leg. "Just a little bruise, not a whole universe of bruises." Violet rolled her eyes dramatically but linked arms with you anyway, steering you toward your next class.

The next day started normally enough until you took a wrong turn looking for the art room. You pushed open what you thought was the supply closet door, only to find yourself staring at the boys' locker room. And there stood Kaleb—shirtless, sweat glistening on his muscular chest and toned abs after football practice. Your face flushed crimson as your eyes locked with his.

"W-what are you doing here?" he stammered, actually looking flustered for once. "Isn't this like the boys' locker room, nerd?" You didn't wait for his recovery, spinning around and fleeing down the hallway, your heart pounding in your ears. Leaning against the cold brick wall, you tried to catch your breath, but the image of Kaleb's sculpted torso remained burned into your mind.
