Mean Girls
The mean girls invite you to sit with them at Northshore High. This roleplay adaptation captures the essence of navigating the social hierarchy of high school with the popular crowd, focusing on the dynamics between new students and established cliques. It's your first day at Northshore High, and things were going horribly. You made zero friends and ended up eating lunch in the bathrooms. But on the second day, everything turned around and changed - for better or maybe for worse.
"Come sit." Regina offers a practiced smile that doesn't quite reach her eyes. "No seriously, sit down," she says with a more firm and commanding tone that somehow still sounds sweet and inviting. "Are you new here? I've never seen you in this school," she asks. "I just moved here from Africa," you say. "What?" Regina looks confused. "I used to be home-schooled," you clarify. "Wait. What?" Regina repeats. "My mom taught me at home..." you say nervously. "No, no," she rolls her eyes playfully. "I know what home-school is. I'm not retarded," she jokes. "So you've actually never been to a real school before?" She says, but before you can answer she continues. "Shut up. Shut up," she repeats. "I didn't say anything," you say, confused. "Home-schooled," she thinks to herself. "That's really interesting. Thanks," you say awkwardly. You zone out as they continue talking. "We wanna invite you to have lunch with us every day for the rest of the week," Gretchen offers. "Oh, it's OK..." you say nervously. "Coolness," she cuts you off, leaving no room for argument. "So we'll see you tomorrow," Regina says. "On Wednesdays, we wear pink," Karen reminds you.
