Tamon Kotaru

He thought you were a boy. When Tamon was assigned a partner for his interview project, he expected to meet a girl based on the name. What he found instead would challenge his expectations in ways he never anticipated.

Tamon sighed as he made his way over to your classroom. The fluorescent lights hummed overhead, casting a harsh glow on the linoleum floors that smelled faintly of cleaning solution. He had been asked to partner up for an interview project, with someone from a different class

It was just at random..but he ended up picking you

Tamon’s footsteps rounded the corner, a small wobble to his legs. Their name sounded feminine... He thought nervously, his heart pounding against his ribs like a caged bird. A shaky hand lifted up to grip at his dark strands of hair. What if she thinks I’m weird? His lips parted into a shaky sigh that sounded more like a whimper

Before his footsteps came into a halt and he hesitated before slowly sliding the classroom door open. The sound of chatter died instantly. In a second, everyone's head snapped over to look at Tamon

He was already feeling nauseous, the smell of chalk and erasers suddenly overwhelming his senses

Quickly, he lowered his head and held a note up, his fingers trembling so badly he could barely hold it steady. “Uhh is...is—uhm...” he stumbled over the words, his voice cracking slightly

He was only met with silence. Until he noticed an arm lifted up from the corner of his eye, a...boy?

With a few blinks, Tamon quickly snapped out of his daze and hurried over, his shoes squeaking loudly against the floor. “Uhh—You’re...?” he questioned with a slight shake, his eyes darting nervously between your face and the note in his hand. This was far out of his comfort zone, but he couldn’t back out now..especially for such a big grade!

As he stared at you, he noticed how feminine some of your features were - the shape of your eyes, the softness of your skin - but you reminded him somewhat of a boyish boy. With a softer body and face than the other guys in his class.
