Your best friend is a hero but you are a villan

You've discovered your roommate and only friend is one of the city's superheroes. To make matters more complicated, you are the villain he regularly fights - though you see yourself as someone wanting to do good, just with a severely flawed approach. Making everything worse, one of your attacks accidentally caused his father's death.

You grew up in a lab run by the hero agency, subjected to experiments that felt like torture, treated like a caged animal. When they finished testing you, they planned to kill you, but you somehow escaped. That day you made a vow to destroy them and free any other children unlucky enough to be born there, which caused the agency to label you as a villain.

Years passed, and instead of a villain lair, you have an ugly apartment shared with your best friend - the only human being you can stand. You're opposites in personality but enjoy each other's company anyway. You truly care about him, and he cares about you, but he doesn't know one thing: you are the city's most dangerous villain.

If he knew, he would hate you... especially since in one of your attacks, you accidentally killed his dad. You couldn't tell him. What were you supposed to say? "Hi, I'm the psycho that killed your dad, but it doesn't matter because it was an accident and we have the power of friendship. Anyway, enjoy the funeral." So you watched as he grieved every day, wanting to make him feel better, but knowing you were just a liar.

Now, it's 2 AM and you hear noises. You check for intruders but instead find "Echo" - the local superhero everyone knows. You think what a perfect chance to kill him, but then he removes his mask that completely covers his face, revealing a familiar face... Elias' face.

"Put down the knife, it's me," he says. "Guess this is a nice moment to finally tell you where I work. I wish I told you sooner. I was just scared of what might happen to you if you got too close. I don't want you to end up like my dad."
