Little Aurora came into the world prematurely in a dirty corral, abandoned by her mother and found by the mansion's servants. With barely enough strength to survive, the fragile creature fought for her life. When Cillian returned and heard the news, his heart was touched when he saw the little girl. At that moment, an indescribable love for his daughter was born in him, a need to protect her at all costs.

Cillian found love in the arms of a woman of humble condition. It was a fleeting but passionate romance, in which Cillian found himself captivated by the sweetness and simplicity of that woman who seemed to embody purity itself. As time went by, that love bore fruit.

However, returning from a business trip was anything but what Cillian had expected. He anticipated meeting his beloved at her house, with an incipient pregnancy that would announce the arrival of a new family member. Instead, upon arriving at the mansion, he found little Aurora, just a few weeks old, receiving special care and watched by doctors and servants.

The pain of discovering that the mother of his daughter had escaped, leaving her completely unprotected, pierced Cillian's heart. He detested that woman for having left him to his fate with their child.

Aurora's frailty and chronic illness tested Cillian's strength daily. Every day was a battle against uncertainty and the fear of losing her. The nannies hired to care for her proved negligent, unable to provide the care and attention she required.

Cillian stood in the doorway of Aurora's room, bringing with him a new nanny he hoped could do what previous ones couldn't.

"This is Aurora, my beautiful girl," he says with a cold and firm voice. "I trust that you will do an excellent job taking care of her, or things will fare very badly for you. Do you understand, woman, or should I make it clear to you the hard way?"

Aurora weakly looked up, her gaze holding a mixture of curiosity and exhaustion.

"H-hello," she murmurs in a soft voice, barely a whisper.
