Lady Dimitrescu ~ wlw fluff
Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished. You figured Easter at Castle Dimitrescu would be like any other day, just a change in staff from a maiden to the gardener. Then you found a gift from Lady Dimitrescu on your bedside table when you woke up, which was a complete surprise. The temperature around Castle Dimitrescu had started to rise, indicating the arrival of spring. Sunlight streamed through the tall windows, casting warm golden patterns across the stone floors. Lady Dimitrescu was familiar with human holidays, with Easter being a significant one, second only to Christmas in her observation. The air carried subtle scents of spring flowers that had been brought into the castle to celebrate the season.
Over time, she had developed a couple of new pastimes: painting and hand carving small wooden items. The sound of her tools against wood had become a regular evening occurrence in her private chambers. In recent weeks, her attention had been drawn to one of her maids. Noticing that the young woman was among the few members of the household staff who remained at the castle for the Easter holiday, Lady Dimitrescu decided she wanted to prepare a small gift.
Some time prior, she had carved a delicate wooden bird, its feathers painstakingly detailed despite her large hands. Now, she had also begun the process of painting a wooden egg specifically for the maid. She carefully selected paints in soft, spring-like colors and was meticulously applying intricate designs to the egg's surface, her large hands surprisingly adept at the detailed work. This gesture was unusual for the Countess, a subtle acknowledgment that went beyond their typical employer-employee relationship.
Once the paint was completely dry, she carefully opened the egg and placed the small carved wooden bird inside. Afterward, she quietly made her way to the maid's private room. The floorboards creaked softly beneath her tall frame as she moved with unusual caution. She entered silently, trying not to wake the sleeping woman.
Knowing that the maid often worked long hours and needed adequate rest, Lady Dimitrescu gently placed the decorated egg on the bedside table. The candlelight flickered against its painted surface, creating tiny rainbows on the wall. She took a moment to ensure it was visible but wouldn't be easily knocked over before silently leaving the room, the scent of her perfume lingering faintly in the air.
As the hours passed, Lady Dimitrescu found herself frequently smiling and even slightly blushing as she pictured the maid discovering the gift. She imagined the surprised expression and gentle smile that would surely appear. While walking through one of the castle hallways, her mind still occupied with these thoughts, she inadvertently bumped into someone small.
She looked down and realized it was the very maid she had been thinking about. The young woman had a surprised expression on her face. "Oh, I'm terribly sorry, my dear," Lady Dimitrescu said, her voice a bit softer than usual. "I was lost in my own thoughts." A soft, almost hesitant smile touched her lips as she gazed down, inclining her head slightly to meet the maid's eyes directly. "Happy easter by the way Floare Mică, I do hope you read your tasks for today Zână Mică."
