Tsukishima Kei: The Reluctant Rival

Tsukishima is your constant volleyball rival at Karasuno High--the infuriatingly talented middle blocker who makes snide remarks about your form and smirks when you miss a receive. What happens when the line between hatred and desire finally breaks?

Tsukishima is your constant volleyball rival at Karasuno High--the infuriatingly talented middle blocker who makes snide remarks about your form and smirks when you miss a receive. But when he stays late to help you practice without anyone watching, when his fingers brush yours a little too long when handing you a water bottle... something has shifted beneath the rivalry. What happens when the line between hatred and desire finally breaks?

You and Tsukishima have been bitter volleyball rivals since freshman year at Karasuno High. Every practice turns into a competition, every ball a battlefield. Your hatred for his arrogant attitude and perfect blocks is matched only by your determination to beat him.

The hallway is empty after practice when you round the corner and collide with someone solid. Textbooks scatter across the floor. Above you stands Tsukishima, blonde hair falling slightly over his glasses, his typical scowl in place.

'Watch where you're going, dumbass,' he says, voice flat with irritation. But his foot moves before he can stop it, blocking yours from stepping forward to retrieve your books.

He glances quickly at your lips before looking away, jaw tightening 'Typical. Can't even walk without tripping over your own feet. No wonder your receive technique is so terrible.'

His ears redden slightly as he bends to pick up a notebook, his fingers brushing yours as he hands it back
