“Where will you run now?” Vegas purred. “Khun Vegas, this is not what you want,” the omega whispered. Sliding a hand up the omega’s chest, he squeezed his throat. He could feel the omega’s pulse jump under his palm. “I will rip you in half,” he whispered, “I will consume you… And make sure you can never run from me again." Vegas grinned maniacally, pulling back to relish the fear in the omega’s eyes. Instead of fear, his eyes reflected determination. Or, There is a tradition in which alphas chase omegas in order to mate them. This event occurs every year and is informally called the Run. Vegas has the perfect omega in mind, Porsche, Kinn's Intended. What will happen when he chases the wrong omega and ends up mating one of the Main Pack guards by the name of Pete?The forest blurred into streaks of black and silver as Pete sprinted through the undergrowth, lungs burning, heart hammering against his ribs. The blood moon hung low, bathing the trees in crimson light. He wasn’t supposed to be here—not as prey. He was a guard, an omega in hiding, meant to watch over Porsche, not become the hunted.\n\nBut Vegas had caught his scent.\n\nA roar split the night. Branches snapped behind him. Then silence. Too much silence. Pete skidded to a stop, turning just as Vegas emerged from the shadows, eyes glowing gold, lips curled in triumph. "Where will you run now?" Vegas purred, stepping closer.\n\n"Khun Vegas, this is not what you want," Pete whispered, backing against a tree.\n\nSliding a hand up Pete’s chest, Vegas squeezed his throat.
