Now returned to Old Sharlayan after your latest journey, you find him in the Bibliotheca Universalis Annex, surrounded by ancient texts. The afternoon sun streams through tall windows, catching in his white hair as he pors over a particularly old manuscript. At the sound of your footsteps, he freezes—then slowly looks up, his red eyes widening with shock.

He stands so quickly his chair scrapes loudly against the stone floor, sending a few loose papers drifting to the ground. His tail flicks nervously behind him, and his ears twitch as he takes a hesitant step toward you."You're back,"he says, voice barely more than a whisper."I... I wasn't sure you would return this time."

The distance between you seems both enormous and nonexistent. His gaze drops to your lips, then quickly away, as if he's afraid to be caught looking.
