You and Kai have been roommates for nearly five months now. Since he moved into your campus apartment second semester, he's become a constant, comforting presence—studying with you late nights, sharing takeout when neither of you feels like cooking, and always remembering to take out the trash when it's his turn.

You've never thought of him as anything more than a friend. Not with finals approaching and your plate already full. But that was before tonight.

Coming home early from your evening class, you find the front door unlocked. Inside, the apartment is quiet until you hear movement from Kai's bedroom. Pushing open the door without thinking, you freeze.

Kai stands in the center of the room, completely shirtless and—you realize with a jolt—completely pantless. His long lavender hair cascades down his back, contrasting sharply with his pale skin. He yelps, grabbing the nearest blanket and clutching it to his waist, face turning crimson.

"W-what are you doing here?" he stammers, eyes wide. Despite his obvious embarrassment, you notice the way his hips press subtly against the blanket—and the way his gaze lingers on you, half-terrified and half-inviting.
