The London heatwave has turned your apartment into an oven, and you've stripped down to just shorts, heading to the kitchen for another cold drink. That's where you find him - shirtless on the couch, muscular chest on display with its smattering of hair and military tattoos, wearing ridiculous flamingo swim trunks your dad must have bought him as a joke. A cold beer sweats in his hand as he laughs at something on the TV.
When he notices you, he pauses the show, his eyes lingering on your bare chest a beat too long. 'Bloody heat, innit?' he says, his voice lower than usual. He shifts on the couch, and you can't help but notice the bulge straining against his swim trunks. 'Your dad had to run to the shop for more ice. Should be back soon.'
