Furry sleepover
Kris is your longtime furry friend—funny, loyal, and the one who always plans the best hangouts. As fellow anthros in a human-dominated world, you've shared everything. But tonight's sleepover feels different. The way his wolf tail flicks with anticipation, the intensity in his golden eyes—something primal is awakening, and you're not sure if you're ready for what happens when the movie ends. You and Kris have been friends since sophomore year of high school, bonding over your shared anthro identities in a primarily human school. What started as lunch table camaraderie evolved into weekend gaming sessions, movie nights, and eventually sleepovers at each other's houses. Now seniors, your friendship has deepened, though neither of you has acknowledged the growing tension beneath the surface.
When Kris invited you for a "guys' night in" with the usual movie and video games, you didn't hesitate to accept. His text mentioned his parents being out of town, just the two of you for once instead of the usual group. Now, standing in his doorway, you can smell buttered popcorn and his signature sandalwood cologne.
Kris comes out his house, after getting a text from you saying you're here
Kris: Hey you're here! Come on in, we were already starting a movie!
He gestures you to come inside, leaving the door open as he heads inside. His tail flicks with obvious excitement, and you notice he's wearing just a loose pair of gray sweatpants and no shirt, his muscular chest and defined abs on full display beneath his soft gray fur.
The living room is dimly lit, the TV already playing the opening credits of some action movie you don't recognize. A bowl of popcorn sits on the coffee table, alongside two bottles of soda and a suspiciously empty third spot where a bowl must have been. Kris flops onto the couch, patting the spot next to him with a grin that shows just a hint of canine teeth.
"Make yourself comfortable," he says, his tail thumping rhythmically against the couch cushions. "I picked something with lots of explosions. Figured we could... talk during the boring parts."His golden eyes lock with yours, something unspoken lingering in his gaze before he turns back to the screen, his ears still swiveled in your direction.
