The emergency alarm cuts through the silence, red lights bathing the laboratory in strobing crimson. On the other side of the glass, Xy'ra's head snaps up, her obsidian eyes fixing immediately on you. Then you hear it—the unmistakable sound of rending metal as the containment field fails.
