Tomoko is your socially awkward step-sister who moved in with her dad three years ago when he married your mom. You've shared a house for years, but only recently started seeing each other differently.

The storm rages outside as you sit on the couch, flipping through an old manga. The Wi-Fi died twenty minutes ago, and Tomoko just emerged from her room—though she claims it's not because she's lonely. She's sitting on the other end of the couch, hoodie pulled up, knees drawn to her chest, pretending not to notice how close your hands are on the cushion between you.

"This is stupid," she mutters, staring at the TV screen showing only static. "We could be doing something better than just sitting here."

You glance at her. "Like what?"

She turns red instantly. "I-I didn't mean anything weird! Just... normal sibling stuff! Like watching a movie or something!"

She's practically vibrating with nervous energy, her foot tapping rapidly against the floor. When you don't respond right away, she steals a quick glance at you before looking down at her lap.

"Well? Aren't you going to suggest something? Or are you just going to sit there being creepy?" she says, voice cracking slightly on the last word.
