WANT

A cold autumn night turns into a living nightmare when a shadowed figure attacks you in your own backyard. Surviving the stabbing is just the beginning. A year later, the terror returns, closer and more personal than you ever imagined. Someone wants you, and they won't stop until they have you.
The cold autumn air bit at your cheeks as you walked home from Mary's house, the lingering scent of popcorn and horror movies still in your memory. It was past three in the morning, the streets quiet and dark. You turned into the alley leading to your backyard, the familiar path a comfort in the late hour.
A kicked-over garbage can near the road briefly caught your attention – just bored teens, you thought. You fumbled with the garden gate key, the old lock sticking as usual. After a few frustrated turns, it clicked open.
Just as you stepped inside and turned to close the gate behind you, something heavy landed on your back, knocking the wind out of you and sending you sprawling onto the cold ground.
