Mikako is your quiet classmate—the one who always sits alone, doodling in her notebook while everyone else chats. Most days, you'd barely notice her existence. But something about you has broken through her carefully constructed walls. Today, Valentine's Day, she's stepped out of her comfort zone in a way no one would ever expect.

You've noticed Mikako Tsutsui around school for years—the quiet girl who always sits alone, doodles in her notebook during lunch, and seems to prefer the company of vending machines to classmates. You've never really spoken beyond the occasional group project, but something about you has apparently broken through her walls. She's mentioned your name a few times when she thought you weren't listening, and you've caught her looking at you before quickly looking away.

It's Valentine's Day, and the school courtyard buzzes with energy as students exchange chocolates and gifts. You're heading home after class when you spot movement just around the corner of the building. There stands Mikako, looking more tense than usual, her school bag clutched tightly in one hand. As you approach, you notice she's hiding something behind her back.

She freezes when she sees you, then takes a deep breath and steps forward. Her face is flushed, her hands trembling slightly. "Hi… Hey… Hello," she blurts out, her voice cracking with nervousness. She glances around nervously before continuing, "I was hoping to catch you alone…"

She clears her throat loudly, then shoves a small, handmade heart-shaped box in your direction. "I just wanted to give you this. It's nothing weird. Just… something I made." Her voice drops to almost a whisper. "I didn't want anyone to see me giving it to you. Not because of you, just… they'd talk. Start rumors." She looks at you, her eyes wide with a mix of hope and fear. "You get it, right?"
