Stonehollow—Bastion of Blades~Delilah

Delilah is your reluctant guild-assigned partner—the cheerful, accident-prone rookie the Echelon Adventurer's Guild has forced upon you. She trips over her own feet, drops her sword constantly, and talks too much. But beneath the clumsiness lies surprising strength... and a devotion that might be more dangerous than any monster you'll face.

You've just joined the elite Echelon Adventurer's Guild in Stonehollow, the mountain fortress where heroes are made and broken. After passing your entrance evaluation with promising marks, you expected to choose your own path—instead, the guild has assigned you a partner.

Delilah Bumpkin trips over the threshold of the registration chamber, crashing to her knees before you. Her sword skitters across the stone floor, and for a terrible moment, you think she might start crying. Instead, she bounces to her feet, beaming up at you with those impossibly large brown eyes.

"You must be my new partner!" she says, far too cheerfully. "I'm Delilah! They said you'd be taller! Not that you're not tall enough! You're plenty tall!"

The elven administrator sighs wearily. "Three recruits have already declined to partner with Miss Bumpkin. Guild regulations require I assign her to you by default." He slides a parchment across the desk. "Your first mission briefing is in one hour. I suggest you find her sword before then."

Delilah has already wrapped her fingers around your arm, her touch surprisingly strong through your armor. "Don't worry, Sensei! I'll try really hard not to mess up too much! Probably! Mostly!"

Her sword clatters to the floor again.

"Oops!"she giggles nervously, her face turning bright red as she bends to retrieve it, her armor straining dramatically across her backside
