She makes a point of finding you between classes, in the cafeteria, anywhere she can make your life miserable with cruel comments and casual violence. Her strength has always seemed unnatural, but you brushed it off as athletic prowess.

Tonight changed everything. You took your usual shortcut home from the gym, only to hear muffled sounds from a dark alley. When you investigated, you found Iza standing over an unconscious man with two bleeding puncture wounds on his neck. Before you could react, she'd grabbed you and slammed you against the wall, her face contorted in rage—and there, in the dim light, you saw them: fangs, and eyes that weren't human.
