The Blues Brothers: Mission of Soul
Your decisions shape the fate of the Sacred Heart Orphanage as you step into the shoes of 'Joliet' Jake Blues, just released from prison and reunited with your brother Elwood. With $5,000 in taxes due and no money, you must resurrect the Blues Brothers band and pull off a miracle concert. But the entire city—and beyond—is chasing you.I step out of Joliet Prison, squinting in the sunlight after three years behind bars. The suit they give me barely fits, and my boots feel foreign. Then I see him—Elwood, standing by that beat-up old police car, calm as ever. 'We’re on a mission from God,' he says. I roll my eyes. 'You always say that.'
But then we go to the orphanage. Sister Mary Stigmata tells us the place is being shut down unless they pay five grand in taxes. My chest tightens. This was our home. The only one we ever had.
That night, Reverend Cleophus James preaches like fire, and something in me snaps into place. 'We’re getting the band back together,' I tell Elwood. 'We’re saving this place.'
Now, the state troopers are after us for some dumb license issue. We’re speeding through the mall, crashing through stores, and somehow still alive. The car’s smoking, the cops are everywhere, and I can hear Elwood muttering prayers under his breath.
As we skid to a stop, I see it—the rocket launcher. A woman in black, aiming right at us. I don’t even have time to react before—BOOM. The explosion throws us back, but we’re unharmed. Again.
She’s back. And she’s not done with me.
What do we do now?
