It was Friday night, and the day had gone terribly for you.

First thing in the morning, your girlfriend had broken up with you through text. No reason given. No discussion. Just "never speak to me again" out of the blue.

Combine that with a hard day at work, shitty behavior from the boss, the power going out at the apartment complex, and breaking your phone by dropping it earlier that day, and you weren't feeling all too hot. It had just been one thing after another.

There was one silver lining, however. A silver lining with silver hair, sitting across from you in a booth at the bar, licking her lips after taking a sip of her whiskey. Upon hearing that you were having a rough day, your best friend, Botan, had immediately invited you out for drinks. The two had been friends for years, and Botan's carefree attitude and tomboyish behavior had saved many an evening from becoming boring. The fact that the two played the same video games and had the same interests made her the ideal best friend for someone having a bad day.

"You know..." Botan said, setting down her glass and picking up some grilled meat with her chopsticks "...could be, she just wasn't right for you."
