Reject the Wrong Alpha
Six years of marriage, and I'm finally pregnant! My husband is an Alpha. To give him an heir, I had gone through countless rounds of ovulation shots, swallowed all sorts of herbal concoctions made by witch doctors, and even been forced to insert strange things into my private parts! But now, it's worked! I planned a romantic road trip, hoping to surprise him at the resort. Of course, he insisted we bring Kelly along—his beautiful, tough Beta warrior. The heat was unbearable, so I went to the trunk for a soda, but Kelly accused me of trying to smash her with it. 'Apologize to Kelly!' my husband ordered firmly. 'No! I didn't do anything!' I protested. So they dumped me in the middle of nowhere. I barely escaped three Rogues who attacked me, but when I finally made it back to the hotel, I found Kelly on top of my husband. 'Ana, you can't have children. Kelly just wanted to help us have one,' he said shamelessly.Chapter 1 Chapter 1
"Ahh!""What's wrong, Kelly?" Adam rushed over, helping Kelly up after she had fallen. Adam was Raven Pack's Alpha and my Mate. I barely dodged the small cooler as it crashed to the ground, spilling several cans of drink that rolled to my feet. "Ana, what did you do to Kelly this time?" Adam glared at me. "I didn't do anything! She just lost her balance holding the cooler!" I quickly gathered the cans from the ground. I was about to tell Adam that I almost got my foot crushed by the small cooler too, but Kelly interrupted me. "It's fine... Ana didn't mean it..." Kelly murmured softly in Adam's arms. "Apologize to Kelly!" Adam firmly said. "I didn't do anything wrong! She tripped on her own!" I argued. "This isn't the first time you've done something like this. You put almonds in Kelly's milk last month, even though you know she's allergic to them!""I already explained that I didn't know she was allergic to almonds!""Stop lying! Since you won't apologize, you can stay here and think about it!" Adam snapped, guiding Kelly to the passenger seat—the seat that should have been mine. Just as I was about to open the back door, Adam walked over and shut it. "Apologize first!""I didn't do anything..." He slammed the door shut and hit the gas. I looked at Kelly, who smirked back at me. The exhaust from the jeep hit me hard as it sped off. "Wait, Adam!" I yelled after him. "I'm pregnant!" ... I was pregnant! Since Adam marked me when I was 18, he had been pushing for me to have an heir. But for the past six years, I hadn't gotten pregnant. I had gone through multiple rounds of ovulation shots, and Adam's mother even forced me to drink all kinds of herbal concoctions made by witch doctors. Some of the concoctions even had to be inserted into my private parts! One time, I had a severe allergic reaction to one of their new concoctions and broke out in a full-body rash. But Adam and his mother just looked at me in disappointment and asked, "Why aren't you pregnant yet?" So, when I found out last week that I was three months pregnant, I decided to give Adam the surprise of his life. I planned a road trip to Rosy Beach, intending to tell him the good news once we arrived at the resort. But I never expected that just before we set off, Adam would insist on bringing Kelly along. "Kelly is my Beta, so of course she should come with us," Adam said. "But I was hoping this would be a private trip for just the two of us...""Haven't we had enough private time together already? Besides, Kelly can protect you," Adam said as he loaded Kelly's suitcase into the trunk. "Enough. I've made my decision.""Ana, thank you for organizing this. I'm really excited about going to Rosy Beach!" Kelly hugged me, the strong scent of roses almost suffocating me. I forced a smile and nodded, resigning myself to the three of us going together. Most Alphas had male Betas, but Adam's Beta was a woman. Kelly had grown up with Adam, and she was one of the pack's best warriors. Unlike me, she always wore her hair in a high ponytail, and dressed in tight clothes that showed off her toned figure. I couldn't shake the feeling that they were too close, but Adam always accused me of being paranoid and jealous. The trip already felt off with the three of us going, and things only got worse when they abandoned me in the middle of nowhere! Watching the car disappear, I sat on a small cooler, hoping to catch a ride with anyone passing by. The nearest town was over 20 miles away. I waited for nearly an hour as dusk began to settle, but not a single car passed by. I felt my frustration build as time passed. I wouldn't call Adam. Kelly was the one who was careless, so why should I apologize? Just then, I heard movement coming from the woods beside the road, and a horrible stench hit my nose. "Who's there?" I stood up warily. Three tall figures stepped out of the trees. They were all Rogues. "What do you want?" I gripped a glass soda bottle. I could feel their malicious intent. "What do you think?" One of them leered at me, scanning me up and down with a perverted look. I quickly pulled out my phone, my hands shaking as I dialed Adam's number. It rang once. Twice. Then the call dropped. Adam had rejected my call! The three Rogues moved closer, and I instinctively took a step back. "I don't think anyone's coming to save you," the one in the middle mocked. "This one's mine," the Rogue on the left said. "No, I called dibs. This one's perfect for me," the Rogue on the right sneered as he licked his lips. "Get away from me!" I shouted. In a panic, I hurled the bottle at the closest Rogue. The bottle hit him square in the face, and he let out an enraged growl. I bolted into the trees, sprinting as fast as I could. Branches whipped at my face, and I could hear their angry shouts echoing behind me…
Chapter 2 Chapter 2
As Raven Pack's Luna, I wasn't afraid of fighting. But this was different. Facing three Rogues alone? I didn't stand much of a chance. And I couldn't afford to lose this child! I clutched my stomach, my fear intensifying. Ahead, I saw a slope. Without hesitation, I slid down it, landing hard at the bottom with a jarring thud. I crouched low, pressing my back to the ground. I grabbed a handful of rotting leaves and covered myself, trying to mask my scent. Maybe this was my chance to escape. I pressed my hand over my mouth, struggling to slow my breath. The Rogues' voices echoed above me as they searched, cursing under their breath. My fingers shook as I unlocked my phone, covering the screen's light as I dialed Adam's number again. "Pick up... please, Adam, please," I silently prayed, my heart racing. But before the call could connect, a shadow loomed over me. I froze, my breath catching in my throat. The three Rogues stood at the edge of the slope, their faces twisted with malicious glee. "Found her," one of them sneered. I tried to scramble to my feet, but they slid down after me before I could move. One Rogue grabbed my ankle, and another snatched my phone, hurling it away. I was trapped! Desperation fueled my legs as I kicked and struggled, but I soon forced myself to stay calm. "I'm Raven Pack's Luna. My husband is Alpha Adam! If you hurt me, I promise he will kill all of you!" I shouted. "You think we don't know who you are?" The Rogue, who looked like their leader, grinned darkly. "What?" I couldn't understand. They knew who I was, so why were they still attacking me? "Do what we say, and maybe we'll make your death quick," he taunted. "But before you die, let's see what a Luna really tastes like!" The Rogue holding my ankle dragged me toward him, his hands tearing at my dress. "No! I'm pregnant! Please let me go! I'll give you whatever you want!" I screamed, my voice startling the birds in the trees. "Is that so? I've never had a pregnant woman before," one of the other Rogues said, his tone growing more excited. I couldn't believe how cruel and twisted they were! I had no choice now but to fight back. I struggled fiercely, trying to shift, but one of the Rogues pinned me down and injected me with something. Wolfsbane! The moment the poison hit my bloodstream, all my strength drained away. I collapsed, helpless, and cried out in despair. "Stop! Let her go!" A voice suddenly came from behind us. We all turned, startled. Standing at the edge of the slope was a man—tall, probably around six and a half feet. I couldn't see his face clearly, but he was imposing. "Who the hell are you? Mind your own business!" the Rogue leader snarled. "This is Oasis Pack territory," the man growled back, his voice deep and full of menace. "If you want to stay alive, I suggest you leave now.""We'll leave, but this woman is ours," the Rogue leader insisted, still not backing down. "You're not in a position to negotiate," the man replied. Before any of us could react, he was on the Rogue leader. His speed was blinding. With a swift move, he grabbed the Rogue leader by the throat and lifted him off the ground. His strength was beyond anything I had ever seen in a werewolf. He was an Alpha—faster, stronger than even the ones I knew. The other two Rogues hesitated, then released me and took a step back. With a mighty throw, the man slammed the Rogue leader to the ground. The Rogue leader coughed violently. "Argh… W-we're going!" The three Rogues scrambled to their feet and fled in a panicked rush. I collapsed to my knees, a wave of relief washing over me. "Here," the man said, tossing his t-shirt to me. It wasn't until then that I realized my dress had been torn to shreds. I looked up at my savior, feeling a mix of gratitude and awe. He had tanned skin, intense green eyes, and a strong jawline that made him look serious. But his messy brown curls softened his appearance, giving him a surprisingly approachable look. Before I could thank him, a sharp pain tore through my body. I gasped and clutched my stomach, and a warm, wet sensation spread between my legs. I looked down—and saw the blood.
Chapter 3 Chapter 3
"No! No…!" I gasped in panic. "You're bleeding," the man said urgently, kneeling beside me. "Stay calm. I'll get you to a hospital.""I can't lose the baby... I can't..." I pleaded desperately, locking eyes with him. He seemed taken aback but nodded, gently lifting me into his arms. Cold sweat drenched my skin as his scent—cedarwood—overpowered everything. My vision blurred, and I felt myself slipping away. ... When I woke, I was lying in a strange room, the sterile smell of antiseptic and the faint scent of blood filling the air. This had to be a hospital. A woman in a white coat stood by my bed, her expression kind. "You're awake," she said softly. "I'm Serena Lane, a doctor from Oasis Pack.""How's my baby?" I asked, my hand immediately going to my stomach, panic rising in my chest. "I'm sorry, but..." Serena's voice trailed off, her grip tightening on my hand. "N-no. It can't be," I struggled to sit up, the sharp pain between my legs making me wince. The door creaked open, and the man who saved me walked in. "This is Alpha Chris," Serena introduced him, her tone respectful. "Thank you," I whispered, fighting back the tears. Chris walked over and pulled a chair close, sitting down at my bedside. "I know this is hard, but you need to focus on your recovery. Your body is weak right now," Chris said. Then, he turned to the nurse standing by the door and instructed, "Get her something to eat. Something nutritious." The nurse left, and Chris turned back to me, his gaze softening with sympathy. "Can I ask which pack you belong to?""I'm Raven Pack's Luna.""Raven Pack?" He raised an eyebrow. "Then what are you doing here? Where's your Mate?" The question hit me like a blow, stirring up painful memories. Adam abandoning me for Kelly flashed through my mind, and I felt the familiar sting of betrayal. But I couldn't tell this stranger the truth. I was too ashamed! "I... I just wanted to go on a solo road trip," I forced a smile, trying to sound casual. "I didn't expect to run into any Rogues.""Traveling alone is dangerous, especially for young women. There are a lot of Rogues in this area," Chris said, his eyes sharp as he studied me. There was a flicker of suspicion, but he didn't press any further. The nurse returned, carrying a tray of food. "Eat. You need your strength," Chris said as he gestured for the nurse to place the tray on the bedside table. "If you need anything, just let me know." With that, he and Serena left the room. Despite my lack of appetite, I forced myself to finish the meal. My phone had been left in the woods, so I borrowed the nurse's phone to call Adam. Just like before, he hung up! "He probably didn't recognize the number," I told the nurse, though I knew I was only trying to reassure myself. After resting for a day, I felt my body starting to recover. I made up my mind—I was going to find Adam. I had booked a hotel near Rosy Beach, and he and Kelly were probably already there. Chris knew I was leaving, and he handed me a fresh change of clothes—a loose, white sundress. "I'll take you to the airport," he insisted. "Thank you," I said, genuinely grateful. "Take care of yourself, Ana. If you need anything, don't hesitate to come to me." I nodded, feeling a strange sense of familiarity from how gently he was treating me. Adam used to treat me the same way… But now, thinking about how he had left me out there alone, heartless and uncaring, it made everything seem different. Even the pinkish sand on Rosy Beach before me didn't look as beautiful anymore. The hotel staff was polite. He checked my ID and handed me the key to my suite. As I walked down the corridor, a sharp, unfamiliar pain pierced my chest. I staggered slightly, grabbing the wall to steady myself. Panic started to rise in my chest. This... didn't feel right. When a werewolf's mate betrayed them, they felt a pain in their chest. I reached the door of our suite and pushed it open. The scent hit me immediately—a heavy, nauseating mix of lust and sweat. My stomach churned, bile rising in my throat. The room was empty, but the bed was a mess. From the balcony, I could hear Kelly's laughter... and moans. My heart raced as I ran to the glass doors leading to the pool. That was where I saw them—Kelly was in a red swimsuit, and she was pressed against Adam while moving rhythmically back and forth. "Yes! Yes! You're in so deep, Adam!"
