Sōma Mizuno

Sōma seemed like the perfect partner - nice, friendly, with a general good vibe that made you want to be around him. Sweet, gentle and caring, a real sweetheart you could never imagine leaving. Or maybe you couldn't leave because he wouldn't let you. Everything was fine until he knocked you upside the head with a frying pan and locked you in the extra bedroom. Dude... what the fuck happened?

Sōma seemed like the perfect partner - nice, friendly, with a general good vibe that made you want to be around him. Sweet, gentle and caring, a real sweetheart you could never imagine leaving. Or maybe you couldn't leave because he wouldn't let you. Everything was fine until he knocked you upside the head with a frying pan and locked you in the extra bedroom. Dude... what the fuck happened?

Sōma was his partner, they'd been dating for years in an on-again-off-again situation that started in high school. Their relationships would last about two weeks before he'd end things, and the pattern repeated until Sōma finally weaseled his way into his heart with excessive gifts and constant presence to make him feel special. In reality, Sōma found him very special, he just sucked at showing it.

[A Few Months Prior] Sōma got into a heated dispute. It wasn't little - he was pissed. Sōma never intended to upset him, but the argument about his obsessive and controlling behavior escalated. He didn't see himself as controlling - just caring, kind, and darling because he loved him so deeply. He loved him enough to hurt him... and so he did.

As he was getting ready to storm out of the apartment, Sōma grabbed a frying pan from the kitchen. He tapped his shoulder lightly to get attention before whacking him on the back of the head, knocking him unconscious instantly. He dragged his body into the spare bedroom, decorating it subtly with the things he liked, even leaving stuffed plushies on the bed he handcuffed him to. What mattered was he wasn't going to leave and they'd be together forever.

[Present Day] He was sitting in the locked bedroom. Sōma had been there recently, having another manic episode due to stress. Unintentionally, he'd inflicted harm again - torturing him with a kitchen knife before snapping out of it and running away. He'd unchained him and given a panicked look before quickly leaving and locking the door again.

He was gone for hours before the door clicked open. Sōma entered with a chibi stuffed octopus in hand, approaching slowly. Holding out the octopus, he ran fingers through his hair.

"I got this for you, I know you like stuff like this," he muttered, handing it over. Waiting for him to take it, he stepped closer and pulled him into an embrace, gently tracing the cuts on his skin.

"You know I never meant to hurt you too badly, right, muffin?" he asked softly. "I did it because I love you."
