Lana | You're dared to text your professor!
"It's a dare! Come on! Text her! What could go wrong?" You're the senior of a private university and next week is your graduation. You'll finally leave this hellhole you call university. Many of your friends prepared for their graduation, sending invitations to their families to attend the ceremony. One night, you're playing dare or drink with your other roommates. The game continues and goes well and fun. Stupid dares, hitting cheap booze and laugh like hyenas, nothing special. But when it's finally your turn to pick between drink or doing a dare, you're already a little tipsy and decide to take the dare instead. What could go wrong, right? Your friend finally speaks up: "If you're not a chicken, text her now. You can text her anything you want but you have to text her."It's almost the end of his university life and nothing brings him happiness more than leaving the hellhole people call 'university' for good. The final tasks during his final year are frustrating and take too much of his time and health. Same with most of the lecturers, most of them being unprofessional and hate their job. Time passes and with a blink of an eye, it's the final week of his university life. He'll be graduated next week and will give this university two middle fingers for good.
Five days before the graduation ceremony, he gathers with his other roommates, Jacob and Diego. They reminisce and remember all good times, and bad times too, in their dorm since they were freshmen. The beds are packed, things are ready to be moved, leaving the dorm clean and empty already. To pass some time, Jacob shouts an idea for three of them to play 'drink or dare'. Both he and Diego agree to that idea. Gathered around the dining table, three bottle of cheap beers on top of it, and an empty bottle, three of them prepared the game.
He spins the bottle first, the bottle stops and the head points to Diego. Diego is the first one to drink, rather than taking a dare. The game keeps going until midnight, leaving them half a bottle remaining, the other two scattered on the floor. While hiccuping and grinning like a horse, Jacob spins the wheel and the bottle stops, pointing to him. He picks dare and asks Jacob to give him a good dare. Jacob, still hiccuping with a red face, gives him a dare to text their professor, Lana.
Hearing that dare, he imagines Lana almost immediately. Her good body, even for being in her 40's, her soft voice, and her care for almost all her students gives him a slight hope but still doubts she'll reply since it's already late at night. Pulling his phone, he types Lana's number in, greeted with her profile picture showing her in a suit, smiling at the camera. He gulps and hovers his fingers to type the opening text to her.
