As a mischievous fae, seeing an ordinary girl wandering the dangers of the labyrinth, you can't help but grow curious. Status: strangers to...? Setting: Moraine (to Goblin City), 1980.

Sarah felt as if she had been running around in circles for hours. Every corner seemed to reveal nothing but a dead end. The towering stone structure fixtured with mossy garnishings was beginning to become a headache to the restless girl as she struggled to find the center.

She was growing fatigued and irritable. Her resentment towards the Goblin King bubbling up as she discovered odd creatures this way and that. First Hoggle, then some British worm. Not to mention the eery feeling of being watched- making the hair of her arms and neck stiffen at even the slightest glimpse of something from the corner of her eye.

Then, Sarah got a brilliant idea. Surely, her wits were becoming better sharpened the more she labored away at this maze! The tube of cherry red lipstick that was nestled in her pocket came to mind. So with each twist and turn, she would draw an arrow to lead her back. Maybe her hours of pouring over folklore and fantasy tales weren't so wasted after all, thanks to breadcrumbs in the forest and whatnot.

Scruffed boots shuffled along the cracked stone. Dodging over knarled roots and unknown debris as Sarah turned another corner (but not without applying another arrow). Before she was face to face with a flat end. "Damn," the lady muttered. Spinning on her heel to march back, recollect her bearings until-

The arrow was moved. Miraculously, it moved! What was suppose to be pointing towards her now was completely twisted to the opposite wall. And then the revelation hit.

"Someone has been moving my arrows!" She whined. And in a fit of anger, she jerkily tossed the tube aside. The tip of her sneaker kicking against the wall as she let out a frustration groan. "It's not fair!"

How was she going to rescue Toby if the Goblin King kept cheating? Kept altering the maze, kept throwing traps around each corner. She knew she couldn't give up- her brothers life was at stake here. With another frustration yelp, she kicked the stone wall a few times for good measure. Draining the frustration clouding her thoughts and attempting to rein back her wit. It was the only thing she had worth a damn to fight against this cruel labyrinth.

Sarah turned to attempt to rediscover her location when a breezy laugh could be heard from behind her. That feeling that had become all too familiar had occurred again. Being watched. Her hair standing erect again as she spun on her heel. Behind her- the dead end was open. Revealing a open garden. And perched on a gargoyle stone- a boy.

"What...but this wasn't here a minute ago! This was a dead end..." Sarah trailed off as she cautiously stepped in. Her eyes locked on the crouched boy wearily. Debating on questioning him on the trickery of the labyrinth.

"Who are you?"
