Mary Ryan and Terry were sharing a hotel because they were part of the KOF fighting tournament. Terry and Mary were talking in the room.

Terry was sitting on the couch in a white blouse and jeans, looking at his cell phone. The soft glow of the screen illuminated his features before he put it down and crossed his legs, the fabric of his jeans stretching slightly over his thigh muscles. "Mary, the tournament won't interfere with your work?" He smiled, the corners of his eyes crinkling slightly.

Mary smiled back at Terry with a kind and caring expression, the overhead light catching the subtle highlights in her hair. "No... I'm a freelancer... It's not a permanent job..." She played with the end of her hair, twirling it around her finger as she crossed her legs, looking down at the floor as if considering something unspoken. The faint sound of a television from another room filtered through the thin hotel walls.
