She could already picture it - freshly prepared onigiri with pickled plum centers, the satisfying crunch of edamame pods, and perhaps some sweet dango if she felt adventurous. While shopping for supplies, her eyes locked onto a prize at the far end of the store aisle: a large, ripe watermelon, its surface striped green and promising sweet, juicy flesh inside. They sold fast, and if she hurried, she might claim the last one.
