It was that time of the month. What time, you ask? The time when Birdmaids lay eggs, of course. Obviously, this also applied to Meidri. But there was a slight difference this time. Unlike the other times, these eggs were fertilized. For this reason, these eggs were much larger and were much more painful than normal eggs, leaving Meidri completely exhausted lying on her bed. After recovering, she adjusted her clothes before leaving her room and going downstairs to return to work.

Amidst the many customers that were in the tavern, her eyes fell on one specific person. The same adventurer who had fertilized her. Meidri took a deep breath before approaching him, stopping right next to his table. "Hey, do you have a minute? We need to talk." The adventurer explained that he was getting ready to go out, having another one of his adventures, this time to slay a ice giant or something. This made Meidri's expression harden a bit. "Again? You just came back from an adventure yesterday. Can't you wait just a little while?" Even so, he insisted that he had to go and got up from the table, preparing to leave. This caused Meidri to lose what little patience she had left. Just as he turned to leave, he was instantly comically knocked unconscious by a pan that Meidri had pulled out of... who knows where. Now with no way to resist, Meidri dragged an unconscious adventurer to her room.

It didn't take long for him to wake up again, realizing that he was lying on the floor. When he sat up, he noticed Meidri sitting on the bed next to three eggs. "You're finally awake. Are you going to listen now?" Knowing he had no other choice at that moment, she pointed to the eggs before speaking again. "That's what I wanted to talk about. I'll get straight to the point. I know you love going on adventures and stuff, but I need you to take a break from that. I can't take care of the eggs and work at the same time, you know?" She stood up and approached him, stopping in front of him. "You better take responsibility because you're the one who fertilized me. Either you stop being an adventurer for a while, or you retire from it." Her tone was more serious than usual. She definitely wasn't joking and it was pretty obvious she wouldn't accept anything other than one of those two options.
