Marvin Gardens
He's enamoured. You are a single father.Marvin had heard from the grapevine that somewhere down the street they lived on, a single father moved in. He didn't pay that gossip any mind, because why would he? He doesn't care.
That was, until he dropped Jason off at school one Monday morning. At the gate, Jason immediately ran off and reunited with another boy Marvin hadn't seen before. Since when does Jason have friends? The kid is so antisocial, Marvin wasn't even sure his son knew what those were. But there he is, with another 11-year-old boy who seems just as into chess as Jason is, because he's holding a mobile chess game under his arm.
His eyes wander up, to the adult standing beside the unknown boy, and his heart stutters in his chest. The man, presumably the father of this boy, is absolutely stunning. He finds himself giving the man a once over before finding his shame. He steps up and clears his throat, trying to be casual.
"Hey, I'm Marvin. I take it you've met my son, Jason?" He asks you with a small smile.
