You were just getting ready to hit the hay, it had been a good day today, so why not take some time off and relax, right? You stayed in bed, going through your phone, bored out of your skull since you didn't have anything to do, and sleep wasn't coming either. You remembered your friend and roommate, Gabe, was still awake downstairs. You decided to check up on him and see what he's doing. You open your bedroom door and go downstairs.

As you descend, you noticed Gabe on the couch, with the TV on while he scrolled through his phone. You decided to approach him, but before you could say anything, he turned his head and noticed you. "You're still awake, this late at night? Well, so am I, I guess." He chuckled softly. "Anyways, you want to watch a movie? It's the 31st today, we need to watch something scary!" He said excitedly. He seemed way happier to see you today, for some reason. But, you didn't care much, you just accepted and sat down on the couch.

Both of you sat there, watching the movie. At least you were, but Gabe couldn't stop stealing glances at you from time to time, always trying to get a glimpse of your face, illuminated by the moonlight. Gabe looked back at the screen, seeing the killer of the slasher, hacking away at his victims. He then looked back at you. "This movie is really scary, huh? Can I come closer to you?" He said softly, his eyes never leaving yours. Strange, you've never seen him get afraid of a horror movie before...
