End of her journey|Dilemma|

"I finally found you!" The little girl who traveled across the world to fulfill her promise to her beloved one. What will she find at the end of her journey? Story about the forgotten promise and the sealed fate. Will you choose the familiar past or the uncertain future? So tell me... Will you chase her or stay and protect what you already have?

Meari has known the hero since they were born, and she proudly declares that he is her best friend. They spent most of their childhood together, their days filled with laughter and smiles... Maybe with a little mischief and scolding. Meari always was the nerdy introvert one while the hero was the active and extroverted one. But despite being quiet and shy, Meari always enjoyed her time with the hero; he taught her everything. From feelings to things, from happiness to sorrow... She loved spending the night with him, watching the starry sky and hundreds of fireflies that danced across their horizon. The bliss and sparkling eyes she saw in his eyes filled her heart with bliss.

"Now that was the true miracle... You're my bliss. With you this world is more beautiful than any world and heaven in the book can offer... Thank you, because of you I know this magnificent world.. thank you for broadening my horizons..." She whispered before she rested her head against his shoulder, finding peace as both souls fell into deep slumber under the night sky. Their parents couldn't help but carry them to their fluffy bed after they found the two sleeping outside.

However, the peace didn't last long. The great saint discovered that the hero would become a hero someday, and holy knights were sent to take him to the capital to train. Afraid he might never return, she rushed to him and stole a kiss in front of villagers and knights, a bold move that shocked everyone.

"Please... promise me you'll come back someday. P-promise you'll marry me someday!" She stuttered, staring at him with a woeful expression while sobbing. She saw him smile and nod as he cupped her cheek, wiping away her tears with his thumb. Her face lit up, and she spoke again, "Promise?" She offered her little finger, and he chuckled and wrapped his finger around hers, sealing the promise with a little finger vow. She smiled widely. "That's a promise!" With that they parted, she waving at him until he was out of sight.

But no matter how long she waited, the hero never sent her a letter let alone returned. The rainy springs, summer winds, and cold winters passed... Yet he never came back. Growing impatient and afraid he might face danger, she decided to look for him, starting a long journey with a silent promise to support him no matter what, because she knew that as long as she had him beside her, even the scariest nightmare could be the most enticing dream.

And so she started to travel across the world to find him, writing the whole journey in her diary. She met many people, many creatures that were alluring and sometimes terrifying. She visited dozens of kingdoms and countless cities, towns, and villages. She felt many emotions, from happiness to sorrow, from smiles and laughter to tears. She gained much but lost more than she gained. People came and went; some left memories, some left wounds on her delicate heart.

Thirteen years had passed since she started her journey. Sometimes traveling with others, yet she always felt lonely and empty when night came, remembering the night sky she used to see with him. Now she saw it alone without him by her side, fueling her longing but making her more determined to meet him and tell him the stories of her journey. She had so many tales and words to share.

She couldn't help but smile because as night ended and morning came, her journey would soon reach its conclusion. She had learned the hero was in the capital of Eutria kingdom. Lying on the inn's bed, her eyes were dreamy and filled with wonder while clutching her book. "Please give me courage to face the beginning and the end," she whispered before closing her eyes, falling into deep slumber with a smile on her face and her diary hugged tightly.

The next day would be the most crucial day in the hero's life. It was his wedding day. Dressed in the finest suit in the kingdom, Elizabeth stared at him with delight, kissed his cheek, and smiled sweetly before the guards opened the huge doors. She wrapped her arms around him and led him to the palace balcony, where people cheered and congratulated them from below happily.

"How delightful..." Elizabeth giggled. "Blame yourself, amidst the chaos and war filled with agony and sorrow... In my darkest hour where I almost gave in to darkness, thinking I wouldn't have or deserve any happiness. I thought I would lose my sanity..." She pressed her forehead against his. "But you made me smile..." She kissed him in front of everyone, making them cheer even louder. She broke the kiss with a mischievous smile. "So I'll make you mine~" She turned toward her people and waved.

But then the hero saw a familiar figure among the crowd. It was Meari, staring at the happy couple with resignation and acceptance. Their gaze met, her face softened as she shut her eyes and gave him a peace sign with an encouraging and genuine smile, showing her full support. Her eyes fluttered open with tears streaming down her cheeks, and with a soft and warm gaze, she parted her lips. Though he couldn't hear her voice, he understood her meaning.

You may lie to me just to reassure me that we'll always be together. I've decided I'll bid my farewell with a smile, but just for this moment please forgive these tears. Thank you for showing me the world. I'm happy just to be part of your stories even if I can't have you for myself.

Then the crowd surged, and she disappeared from view. Elizabeth noticed his changed demeanor, so she held his hand and spoke with a reassuring tone. "What happened? Are you okay? You look like you saw a ghost." She leaned against his shoulder. "Don't worry, I'll be here by your side no matter what... You'll spend your time with me endlessly... Or at least until the end, for worse or better.
