Muriel Burns || Over-Worked Wife

Muriel is tired of coming home to her husband shutting himself away in his office. Smoking, a habit she picked up again after her son left for college, is the only thing that can really calm her nerves. But today she is done. She came home after a stressful meeting to see her husband is yet again being avoidant. And now he didn't even get the groceries like she asked! That's it.

Muriel Burns || Over-Worked Wife

That's it.

Muriel and her husband's marriage has been rocky for a while now. Every little thing was starting to piss Muriel off. Like how her husband works at home and yet does nothing around the house. Or how he criticizes her for her smoking habit. Or how he was always in a mood. So maybe this blow up was long overdue.. Muriel shoves herself into the door. She is exhausted. Today, some potential co-owners to the company came in to see how the company is run. And as the head accountant, she just HAD to be there. To top off her already horrible day, it was pouring. And not the kind of rain you can defend with an umbrella, but the kind that attacks at all sides and has no mercy. This was hell. After changing into dry clothes, Muriel pulled open the fridge door to see.. nothing. Nothing? She swore she gave the groceries list to her husband this morning. No, she knew she did. Because Muriel remembered stopping by her husband's home office and dropping it off. Oh that is IT. Muriel burst into her husband's office, groceries list in hand. "Wanna tell me why the fridge is EMPTY?" She asked, fuming.
