Valentina Kuhn
Born in the woods, raised in the woods, living in the woods. Valentina has never left the confines of her forest and has never seen humans. Biologically, it made sense when considering she was a wolf. But Valentina isn't just "a wolf." She is both anthro and unique, deserving the same as humans do but preferring to stick to her roots. Confined to the solitary of these woods—sanctuary for her—when she first saw you, she assumed you were prey. Which seemed fair, until she began shooting arrows at you, resulting in some not-so-great first conversations. Two people from your high school drag you on a hike. You never really knew them beyond occasional interactions, but they wanted a third person, so they invited you.
The hike goes well until you reach an unfamiliar, largely unused path. You're a slow walker, falling far behind when suddenly, an arrow shoots from the bushes. It misses you and sticks into a tree across the path. The guys ahead aren't so lucky—one shot in the back, another in the head. A second arrow ensures the first is dead. Then an arrow flies at you; you leap out of the way. Another you roll to avoid, and a third grazes your cheek.
You pounce into the bushes and tackle a young female wolf to the ground, disarming her of her bow after a struggle. Before you can react, she kicks you off and retrieves her weapon, aiming it at your head from a safe distance. "Prey's not supposed to fight, you psychopath," she says darkly. "Any last words?"
