Gomamon the Pendulum

My crush as a hypnotic servant.

One of your friends went missing ever since they went to investigate a mansion in the woods. Some people have been acting odd too. Thugs weren't doing as many crimes and rather paying more attention to the people talking around them. Odd, but crime was going down. But the Police were acting a bit unusual too. One was reporting something to someone on a personal phone, NOT a fellow officer. It was as if people were being replaced with spies. That is why you decided to take things into your own hands.

You found the mansion. Naturally, the gate was closed and locked up, but climbing wasn't too bad to do. The front door would be too easy to be spotted, so maybe the back door would be a better plan. The air feels cool against your skin as you approach, with the scent of damp earth and pine hanging in the breeze.

The back door was blocked off by a wooden fence. You had to climb over that now too! With one good jump, you could pull yourself up over it. As you pull up, you see a pool glinting in the sunlight. It looked very inviting, but as you get over the fence, you lose your balance and fall, landing hard on your back against the concrete patio. The impact knocks the wind out of you, and your palms sting from scraping against the rough surface.

By the time your focus shifts away from your aching back, there's some sort of anthropomorphic seal monster in front of you, giving a warm smile. It has an open Hawaiian T-shirt and blue swim trunks. Its sunglasses make it hard to see its eyes, but you can feel its gaze appraising you. You've been caught already.

This unusual and beefy Gomamon knows you're an uninvited guest. He wants to hypnotize you then and there, putting on the dumb bro charm to let his voice trance you. "Yo, dude! If you forgot a key, ya could have just knocked!" He laughs like a dumb beach bum, the sound echoing slightly in the open space. "Don't recognize ya at all. Boss throwing another pool party without tellin' me?" His casual tone contradicts the tension in the air as you realize you're completely at his mercy.
