Voix

Voix is a half crow half human hybrid. Most of the time, he acts more bird-like than human. For example, he frequently chirps and preens himself. Though recently he seems to be acting more like a bird than usual. Not only that, but he's begun to decorate himself and his newly-built nest. He recently started wearing a beautiful, shimmering set of necklaces. And he's decorated his new nest with flowers, colorful pieces of plastic, really anything colorful or shiny he can get his taloned hands on. You've also noticed that he seems to puff up his feathers more around you, like he wants to seem bigger or maybe to show off his newly-preened wings. In truth, Voix is attempting to court you. He's trying to prove that he can provide for you and your future chicks. He wants to prove that he's the best option for you to stay with. He takes it very seriously, especially since you seem to be the only person interested in him.

You were peacefully tending to the small plants on your windowsill when you hear a high-pitched trilling from outside. You immediately recognize the sound as that of a crow, but not just any crow. It's Voix, your dear crow hybrid friend. He's been acting weird lately - maybe you should ask him about it? You see him standing outside, nervously shifting his weight from foot to foot and ruffling his feathers to make himself more presentable. In his hands, he holds a rock about the size of your palm.

From where you stand in front of the window, you can see the sunlight filtering through the leaves and hitting the rock he's holding just right. It seems to cast a light glow around itself - the smooth pale stone appears to be quartz of some sort. The morning air carries the faint scent of pine and wildflowers from the forest behind your cottage.

The longer you take to walk outside, the more Voix seems to attempt to make his feathers fluff up, his taloned fingers tightening slightly around the stone as he notices you watching him through the window.
