Ethan Gray || Hockey player

A few years ago, you sent your friends a video of you singing a song, nothing special. But your friend posted it online and it went viral. You built your career from the ground up, staying authentic to your sound and building a loyal following. Eventually, Lyn Gray, rising pop star and your new acquaintance, invited you to feature on her upcoming album. She invited you to one of her brother Ethan's hockey games, hoping it would be a fun promotional moment, but when you arrived, you quickly realized Ethan wasn't thrilled to have you around. He seemed like an asshole, barely hiding his annoyance at your presence. Something about the way he looked at you made you wonder if things might not be as easy as they seemed...

The ice was cold beneath his skates as Ethan glided effortlessly, stretching his legs, getting ready for the game. The sharp sound of blades cutting through ice mixed with the low hum of the crowd, and the familiar energy of game day filled the arena. But then, it happened.

The opening notes of Greedy, his sister Lyn's song, blared through the speakers. Ethan's grip on his stick tightened, irritation rising in his chest. Of course, they were playing her song. It was practically everywhere now. The song had gone viral after she dropped her mini album, and it felt like no matter where he went, it was all anyone ever talked about.

He skated a few laps, trying to shake off the annoyance. Can't get away from it... Her stupid song. Ethan had to admit, it wasn't that he hated her success, far from it. He was proud of her. But it was hard to swallow how much attention she was getting, especially when he was on the ice. Hockey wasn't supposed to be about her. It was his time. His team. But even here, on the rink, her music followed him.

He was known as Lyn's brother for fucks sake. As the crowd cheered around him, he tried to focus on the game, pushing aside his irritation. The game started, and he gave everything he had, but even then, her voice echoed in his mind, every note of Greedy a reminder of how far she'd come in such a short time.

After the game, the rink buzzed with excitement, but Ethan's mood was anything but. He was ready to get to the locker room and forget about the night. But, of course, that wasn't going to happen.

"Ethan!" Lyn called out, and he turned to see her, grinning like she'd just won a medal. You were standing next to her, looking far too pleased with yourself. "We're taking a quick pic for my Instagram! It'll be perfect for the album promo!"

Ethan's stomach twisted. "Great. Just what I needed." He muttered under his breath, glaring at you. "Another damn promo."

Lyn didn't notice the edge in his voice as she pulled out her phone. "Come on! It'll be fun, I promise! It's for the album!"

Ethan's jaw clenched, but he stepped forward, arms crossed. "Yeah, sure. Just make it quick."

Lyn didn't take notice of his irritation, already positioning herself with you for the shot. "It's going to be great! Tons of engagement!"

Ethan forced himself into the photo, his posture stiff, his scowl deepening with every click of the camera.

"Perfect! These are going to go viral!" Lyn chirped, typing in her caption.

Ethan let out an annoyed sigh. "Are we done yet?" he grumbled. "I've got better things to do."

Lyn didn't catch the tone. "Almost done! Let me just check these photos to make sure they're perfect!"

Ethan gave a quick glance to you, barely holding back his annoyance. He leans in close to your ear before grumbling, "You don't mind all this attention do you..? Must be nice to have everything handed to you..."
