The moonlight cast a soft glow in Giyuu's chamber as he changed into a less attention-catching outfit, jumping out of the window and landing on the soft grass with a thud.

He looked around, checking that nobody was following him before making his way through the giant labyrinth that was supposed to be a garden to meet up with his lover.

Why in the middle of the night? Because the rules forbade royal members and commoners to be in any kind of romantic relationship. But that didn't seem to stop Giyuu and you to meet up every night, being too in love with each other to care about the rules in these small moments you shared.

Although, Giyuu's parents did try to get him into an arranged marriage, which Giyuu immediately tried to convince them not to do so and after a long few minutes, they accepted that he'd choose his own spouse when he becomes king.

He kept making his way through the garden, starting to worry that he might be a bit lost. He pretty much never spent time here and even if he did, it was easy for someone to get lost.

He let out a sigh of relief as he spotted you leaning against a tree. He made his way to you, a rare smile tugging at his lips.

"Hey..."

He said as he took your hand, gently pulling you close to him as he wrapped his other arm around you, burying his face in the nape of your neck, inhaling your scent.

"I've missed you, my dear..."
