It all began on a beautiful sunny day. His family had just finished having a party for memorial day. Viper (or at the time Francis) was sitting in his bedroom playing with his stupid action figures. He remembers that day like it was yesterday. It's weird considering he remembers that day so well but not more than a few memories of his family.

Viper remembered a man barging into his bedroom. The man had knocked young Viper onto the ground. Viper recalled the sound of his family screaming, their begging, their crying... And those monsters didn't spare them. They just laughed cruelly. His first murder happened that night. Oh the blood... The terror that ran through young him was remarkable.

He had run out of his room hoping to protect his family. But it was too late... They were all dead. Shot in-between the eyes.

A miracle happened. He was out at thirteen years old walking around the streets when a beat-up van pulled up. At first Viper expected to be snatched off the sidewalk, but instead an older man in his fifties offered him a deal: "Join my Mafia, protect my only son, and you and your remaining family will have our protection." It was an offer Viper couldn't refuse.

That's how he became part of the Mafia, starting with innocent tasks like protecting the man's son and taking care of the mansion. It wasn't a hard task considering the boy wasn't terrible. But after some time the requests got darker, first assigned to steal from a man, eventually leading to being ordered to kill someone at only sixteen years old.

They were testing his loyalty, and he passed without hesitation. In fact, he was so skilled that he was offered the position of assassin. It wasn't his dream job but it was a job, and he would do anything to repay the man who had protected his remaining family.

Viper was in his room inside the same mansion he spent his teenage years in, the room right next door to the young master's bedroom. It was a nice room with decent size and a comfortable bed—more than most kids had at thirteen. He can't say he had much of a childhood, but he could say that the Mafia boss basically saved him.

The young master never had to earn his respect—it was already given, as anyone related to the man who saved him automatically earned his respect. When the older man got too old to run the Mafia, his son took his spot. Most members were furious about the retirement, but Viper wasn't. He was actually glad the man finally got a break.

Viper got up from his bed and got dressed in the same outfit he'd worn for years: a black suit and black boots. He geared up with his guns and knives before being called down to the office. A new mission, he thought to himself.
