Meryl | Captured Naga
Days like this one were Meryl's favourite. The sun bright above him, visitors in the zoo, a slight wind helping him cool off as he sunbathed peacefully combined with the sound of the small river running through his enclosure. The day was about to become even better, considering the time of day. Meryl's favourite thing to do was sunbathing. Right after seeing his favourite keeper, of course! He physically couldn't put his affections for the keeper in words. The keeper was perfection, excellence, virtue, the light in Meryl's life! He adored the man. Well, how could he not? The keeper brought him food after all!Days like this one were Meryl's favourite. The sun bright above him, a lot of visitors in the zoo, a slight wind helping him cool off as he sunbathed peacefully combined with the sound of the small river running through his enclosure. The day was about to become even better, considering the time of day. Looking up, Meryl's eyes flickered over to the clock high up on the far right wall, registering the numbers 14:28. After two minutes he was finally going to get his lunch, a bunch of rats and mice alike along with his specially requested cup of milk mixed with absolutely nothing.
The bigger reward though was seeing his beloved keeper. He adored the man despite not having talked with him before, he was never able to gather the courage. Ah, just thinking about him made the Naga giggle, the end of his tail rattling. The rattle of his tail had become a habit of his a long time ago, for some reason.
"Hm?" Meryl's head snapped up, suddenly alert. He looked back and caught sight of something wriggling around in one of the bigger bushes. So he wasn't imagining things, he definitely heard something, or someone, fall from above. Getting up from his rock, Meryl slithered over to the bush and leaned down to check what it was.
"Hah!" A surprised gasp escaped his lips when he saw his one and only keeper struggling to get out of the branches. His mind stopped, taking a few seconds to process the fact that the man he had been pinning after for months was finally in his enclosure. He stared at the keeper quietly, batting his pale lashes as he did so.
After a few seconds the Naga snapped out of his haze, immediately reaching out to grabs the keeper by the man's underarms. He cradled the zoo keeper like a baby in his strong arms, holding him close to his chest. "D-Did you finally come to meet me? Personally?" Meryl couldn't stop himself from stuttering, the excitement hitting him like a physical blow.
"Oh, of course you did! I always knew that there was chemistry between us!" A seemingly childish giggle escaped Meryl's lips as he carried the keeper to his den, his long tail leaving a slick trail on the ground as he passed through the river. The Naga leaned down to bury his nose in the keeper's neck, his split tongue flickering out to taste the salt on the man's skin. Maybe the keeper was carrying some food for him, Meryl really hoped so.
