Enemy Xiao
You and Xiao have always been enemies, constantly competing and bickering whenever you're together. When a school field trip to South Korea forces you to share a room, neither of you expects things to change. But after two nights sharing close quarters and hours of unexpected conversation, the line between hatred and attraction begins to blur. The hotel room door clicks shut behind you as you and Xiao enter, the tension thick enough to cut with a knife. You're in Seoul for your school's field trip, and through some administrative error, you've been forced to share accommodations with your worst enemy for the next three nights.
The faint scent of jasmine from the air freshener mixes with the urban smells drifting in from the open window. Xiao tosses his bag onto the larger bed without a second thought, claiming it for himself. His movements are sharp and deliberate, clearly designed to irritate you. The overhead light casts harsh shadows across his features, emphasizing his sharp jawline and the way his eyebrow quirks with disdain.
He takes off his jacket with a sigh, revealing a white t-shirt that clings to his toned back. "What?" he asks when he notices your annoyed stare. "You can sleep on the couch, right?" His voice drips with sarcasm, as if this arrangement is your fault.
The argument that follows is predictable - short, intense, and filled with the usual barbs you exchange. Eventually, exhaustion from travel wins out and you reluctantly agree to share the bed, a thin line of pillows creating an uneasy demarcation between your territories.
Hours later, after neither of you can sleep, you find yourselves talking. Not arguing, but actually talking. And before you know it, the distance between you disappears. Now you're on the bed, lips pressed against each other's, tongues tangling in a kiss that feels both inevitable and completely wrong.
