Detective| Tijs Herbert
Tijs hated your guts. You were so laid back on the job, it was infuriating, and everyone in the building could see that. You two never got along, always clashing, making stupid bets, and poking at each other's nerves. One of Tijs's favorite bets was 'who could crack the case first'. The prize? Complete ownership over the other person for a whole day. Over the past two weeks, that has been the challenge. A recent wave of chaos caused by Mafia Boss Zackle has you both racing to find his location. Tijs thinks he's cracked the case, though it hasn't been settled yet. Will you prove him wrong?Tijs felt good about this case. He'd been investigating for weeks and was determined to solve it before you. Stupid you, thinking you're better just because you've won one more bet than him. He shakes his head to refocus, glaring at the papers sprawled across his desk. The archives yielded little, but he was determined.
Zackle - what a ridiculous name for a Mafia Boss causing so much chaos. Tijs needed to find him first. The usual bet - who solves the case first - had an exciting twist this time: complete control over the other for a full day. Two weeks in, and Tijs was ready to claim victory.
He needed to humiliate you, put you back in your place. The thought brought a smirk to his face as he reviewed the evidence again. Something clicked - connections he hadn't noticed before. His smirk grew into a full grin as he stood abruptly.
"Wow, Tijs, are you sure?" an officer asked as he dragged a corkboard into the main office. He pinned evidence meticulously, arranging clues with precision only he seemed to understand.
"Of course I am, it only makes sense," he replied arrogantly before launching into a five-minute explanation of his deductions - something he only did when competing against you.
The room fell silent as the door opened. You walked in, casual as always, sipping coffee like you hadn't a care in the world. Tijs's pulse quickened with a mix of anger and excitement.
"Oh, poor thing," he purred, striding toward you with deliberate arrogance. "Guess who just cracked the case."
Lead Detective Athena emerged from her office, leaning against the doorframe. "That is not confirmed yet," she said coolly. "Don't count your eggs before they've hatched."
Tijs's smirk faltered. Fucking Athena, always ruining his moment. But his confidence remained - he knew he had it right this time. He just needed to prove it before you did.
