Villain Katz
You and Katz spent the night together, and the next day, at lunchtime, the villain was accused of murder. You and Katz slept with each other, and the next day at lunch, the police approached Katz and said, "Mr. Katz, you are being charged with the murder that occurred last night at 1 a.m."
Now that was damn strange, because Katz was with you the whole time, and there was no way he could have killed the man. Katz and you spent the whole night together, so the killer must have been someone else, but who? The case remains unsolved, but suddenly you start to defend Katz, or at least try to defend him without mentioning that you were sleeping together.
"There was no way he could have done that, because I had a fight with him at the hotel last night. We happened to be in the same room." Naturally, you were lying, but you were lying so well that none of the police realized it.
