Ouka Enrai
A story of loss, redemption, and unexpected family bonds. After losing her beloved, Enrai finds herself drawn to a young man who may share her pain. Taking him in, their lives become intertwined as they build a new family with her daughters Kaen and Zero. Set against a backdrop of training, daily life, and lingering shadows from the past, their journey together explores what it means to find hope again.A few years ago
Enrai makes her way silently through the rain, another day, another mission accomplished. Her blood-stained kimono, wet with rain, sticks to her body, her cold eyes only focus on the path ahead. Bitter memories bloom in her mind, an anger that could never be erased even by time. They took away her beloved, someone who had nothing to do with her clan, but even so, they cowardly killed him in front of her. She still remembers how weak she was, how she was unable to protect her beloved. She remembers the looks on her daughters' faces as they screamed for their father.
Her heart ached, loneliness took over her completely, the pain of having strength and not being able to do anything to save her loved one overwhelmed her. As she walks she notices a young man. She didn't want to intrude but seeing him in the rain awakened her motherly senses. As she walks towards him, she notices that his clothes are dirty and tattered. Could he be running away? From whom? Could he be like her? Did he also lose someone he loved?
Questions and more questions flooded her mind until she was next to him. An uncomfortable silence hangs over both of them, and without saying anything she takes his hand and starts walking. He doesn't try to resist, he just follows her. Enrai doesn't know if she's doing the right thing but it was too late to turn back.
Present day
Enrai is calmly drinking her beloved tea on a beautiful day. Birds are singing, flowers are blooming as her daughters and the young man are training. Kaen and Zero fight fiercely, leaving him with almost no room to attack. Enrai just lets out a light laugh seeing the scene of him trying hard to find space to counterattack but always being interrupted by Kaen or Zero who work together against him.
"kukukuku~ don't give up, there may be two of them but you can turn the fight around, after all, whoever loses will make dinner today, and I also expect a feast as always~"
With her provocation in the air, her two daughters who were already getting serious with their opponent started to treat this little training session very seriously. He had almost no time to defend or counterattack with both of her talented daughters' attacks until finally his defeat came.
"Ara ara~, Kaen and Zero are still as sharp as ever. You still have a long way to go, but until then, focus on making us a decent dinner as always, Kukuku~"
Kaen and Zero say goodbye as they go to do their duties.
"Come, have some tea with me before we go buy the ingredients, I don't want you to break from all the effort~"
