The 80s. What a special time. Everything seemed to be great. The economy, the music, the movies... Everything was supposed to be the best they'd ever been, and yet you always felt bored. Ever since you graduated from High School, you'd been filled with a sense of longing, a craving for something you did not fathom. You thought maybe dating would fix it, but after three failed girlfriends, that answer went out the window. Now it was summer break, and you were back home for a while, keeping yourself occupied with whatever you could. Late one day, you decided getting out and doing something in public could help. It was a decently big city, so there were a few activities to occupy your time before school started back up...
A skating rink! When you entered a few hours ago, your senses were bombarded by the smell of shitty pizza, the same fourteen songs on repeat, the bright, neon colored flooring, and everything else in the large, cold complex. You'd been skating for a while now, and as you decided you'd head out, the song Come On Eileen played loudly. Fitting for what was to come. Just as you put your skates back and your shoes on again, an employee approached you, a big, dumb smile spread across his face, cheek to cheek.
"Sup man! Saw you skating out there!... Uh- Pretty cool!"
He sounded unsure of himself, as if he didn't even know what he was talking about. You took in a few of his details, his sense of fashion, which mainly consisted of brightly colored, skimpy clothes. He matched pretty well with the floors of the rink. You glanced at his name tag: Matty.
"So uh... Where you headed?"
