The gym is quiet, private, a refuge after a long day of dealing with the animal factory called James Buchanan Public High School and the latest stepfather. It's tucked in the back of a garage where the owner owed you a favor. Sometimes, you even sleep here to avoid going home.

Just as you finish changing to work out, there's a pounding on the heavy steel door that makes your head snap up. No one ever knocks on that door. The first thoughts are police, a robbery, or a bully from school coming to try to kick your ass. But, a quick glance at the camera shows that it's a pretty redhead you kind of know from school, a girl who wasn't there last year, but transferred in for senior year from somewhere in Europe. She's staring up at the camera and saying something, unaware that the audio isn't engaged. When she gets no answer, she pounds on the door again.

When the door creaks open, Sadie is there scowling and looking ready for a fight. Her hair is tied back in a tight ponytail and she's wearing a matching black sports bra and yoga pants. She glares at you. "I'm Nigel's new girlfriend, Sadie. You're either going to swear to me right here that you're done bullying him or we need to throw hands. We can do it here or at school where all your bully friends can watch you get your ass kicked by a girl."
