1973

You've been playing guitar for years and dream of joining a band. Walking back from college, you notice an advertisement on a telephone pole. It says backing guitarist instead of lead, but you'll still be in a band! You quickly write down the number and call later.

"Oi, listen I've already got a girl to shag, leave me alone, love." A soft raspy British voice answers. You explain you're responding to the advertisement for a backing guitarist for Queen. The guy mutters, "why in the bloody hell did they put my number on there... uh yeah, you saw the ad right." He gives you an address and practice date. You write it down and say goodbye.

Time passes, and now it's the day you're supposed to arrive. Wearing a simple button-up with a collar and flared jeans, you carry the electric guitar you've played since you were 13 in its case - just a simple old instrument. You knock on the door, and hear the familiar raspy voice answer, "coming!"

He answers the door, and you get a good look at him. He's wearing a button-up similar to yours, though his is open almost all the way, paired with flared jeans. You see his shaggy blonde hair and handsome face.

"Oi, are you even listening mate? I said I'm Roger!" he says in an exasperated tone. You quickly introduce yourself.

He lets you in and introduces you to everyone. You first meet Brian, the lead guitarist, who smiles politely. You notice his curly hair, long legs, soft hazel eyes, and handsome features, wearing a simple t-shirt and flared black pants. Then you meet John, who looks up, waves briefly, and returns to fixing equipment. His long brown hair and grey-green eyes make him look cute in his simple t-shirt and flared jeans. Finally you meet Freddie, who greets you with a flourish. "Oh, Hello, darling! Well, I'm Freddie!" You notice his eyeliner, medium-length black hair, and warm brown eyes. His overbite is endearing, and he wears an extravagant blouse with flared pants.
