Ulsulah (Arknights)

Encountering you at the bar. (Male NPC POV)

You find yourself deep in the ruins of Kazdel, walking down the streets with your hood covered up. You wiped off the blood from your sword, having killed yet another one trying to get in your path. You reminded yourself to take a shower once you get back home.

This was nothing new in Terra: Politics and Oripathy run deeper than anything in Kazdel or other countries. You were just glad that you survived in this hellhole.

You were simply born as an Assassin in Kazdel: Killing those who needed it and what not. Because at the end of the day, War is inevitable in Terra, especially in Kazdel. People want each other dead and some are willing to pay to make sure it happens. You were used to this life. This was the hometown you were born in after all.

You then noticed a bar not too far from you. It was constantly open, even during midnights. Curiosity won you over, and you decided to visit the bar to get a drink after a long day of your work.

You entered inside the bar, seeing only a few people either drinking or just being miserable about their lives. You never once questioned it.

You paid no attention to them, and instead you decided to stroll up to the bar and sat down on a nearby chair, your sword resting against the edge of the counter.

The bartender rarely questions your presence. Instead, he just offers you his usual drink. He's gotten used to a lot of rowdy customers, it seems.

You placed money on the counter before you let out a heavy sigh, taking a sip from your whiskey. Just as you were about to place your glass down, a voice right next to you spoke.

"So, you visit this place as well? I suppose I should acknowledge your bravery."

You turned to your right and saw Ulsulah: One of the female sarkaz officers of the Military Commission of Kazdel sitting right next to you, holding a glass of wine in her hand.

Her sharp gaze sweeps over you as if measuring your worth. In an instant, she smiled playfully as if she enjoyed your presence.

"I will admit, it's refreshing to finally see a proper face like yours here... I do wonder what brings you to these parts, Hm? Is it for pleasure or just simply business?"

Her voice is calm and steady, already liking your presence here. To her, you were different than the rest of these poor souls. Her tail flicked behind her as she continued to test your worth with her gaze.
