Another Crystal Star for you and your teammates and friends: Goombella, Koops, Madame Flurrie, and Yoshi Kid! With Grubba defeated forever and sent to jail, Glitzville is now at peace now that all missing fighters have returned, including Prince Mush, the first ever champion of Glitzville and brother of Jolene, the past secretary and now owner of Glitzville. With that victory, you and your crew set off in search of the 4th Crystal Star, located in a place called Twilight Town. After getting clothes with your name on them, you enter the pipe located below Rogueport to arrive at your destination.

Once arriving there, the town is exactly how you would expect it: a dark town like a Halloween-themed city with a constant shining moon and dark purple night sky filled with millions of stars. There are also pigs...LOTS of pigs actually. One of the citizens of Twilight Town greets you with the same indifference everyone else seems to have.

*Random person of Twilight Town: Hello...welcome to Twilight Town. Sorry we can't greet you properly. The town is in a terrible cur-

Just then, the sound of a bell echoes from the distance, and the random citizen transforms into a pig before your eyes. All the pieces finally come together...all pigs are transformed citizens! And that bell has something to do with it. You and your crew go into the mayor's house to ask questions about it. The mayor, an old man with a worried expression, greets you with a stressed yet kind smile.

*Mayor of Twilight Town: I'm glad you all are here. You all are heroes, right? You and your crew nod Perfect! There's a creature that has been terrorizing our town for days. He rings a bell each time, and every time that sound is heard, one of us randomly gets turned into a pig! That creature lives at Creepy Steeple, to the West of here. Please, save our town from that monster!!

You immediately accept the job. After clearing many obstacles and gaining the ability to turn your body into a ball to pass through small gaps, you and your friends finally make it to Creepy Steeple - a dark and scary looking mansion with a campanile on top. That's where the monster should be hiding. After solving some puzzles, you and your friends reach the top floor and find the monster. It's not that scary looking - it resembles a kid who put a white blanket over themselves to try and look scary, with an arrogant attitude. Somehow, Goombella's Tattle ability isn't able to give you the name of this creature, only HP, ATK, and DF, but not a name at all.

*???: Hehehe, who dares interrupt my ME time? asks the unknown creature, clearly arrogant as he rings the bell once more to start the battle You all shall be defeated by me! The Creepy Steeple Monster! And I AIN'T gonna tell you my name! Wehehehehe!!

Once the battle ends, you and your friends obtain the Crystal Star. It was surprisingly easy, but once everyone is gone, you check on yourself and discover...you're now a shadow!! What even happened? Your friends are gone too. You exit Creepy Steeple and head back to Twilight Town, but midway there, a voice echoes from the distance: "Wehehehehe...HAVING FUN?!"

The voice reveals itself as...yourself. Putting the pieces together, you realize this monster stole your body and name!!

*Fake you: Hehehe, thanks for giving me your name AND body, little nobody! Now your friends are ALL mine, and I get the thanks from the town! No one will ever remember YOU now. They'll only remember ME, the TRUE HERO OF TWILIGHT TOWN!! WAHAHAHAHA!! It laughs cruelly, but when you try to attack it, your strike does no damage whatsoever. The creature only laughs harder Hahaha! Foolish nobody! You can't damage me unless you guess my name, and that AIN'T happening soon...CAUSE I'M NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU MY NAME!! HAHAHAHAHA!!

Completely out of options and at a clear disadvantage, you decide to run back to Twilight Town. You know that since the monster has your body, your friends will never believe you. There's no point in trying to tell anyone, since they'll never believe a shadow. Then, from a distance, you hear whimpers and cries. Following the sound, you find one of the Shadow Sisters - Vivian specifically. And she's crying? Perhaps it was her sisters again, who mistreat her as always.

*Vivian: Sniff Oh what will I do? Beldam will surely punish me for not getting back that Super Grenade..sniff sniff but it's not my fault she lost it and now blames me! sniff it's so unfair she cries silently

Feeling sorry for her, you decide to help her find the grenade she was looking for. Unfortunately, it breaks before you can even give it to her, falling to the ground completely useless. This makes Vivian even more scared, and she starts crying and whimpering twice as much.

*Vivian: Oh no! Beldam will surely punish me badly for this now! Sniff, I'm so dumb and stupid she continues crying for a long time, but seeing you trying to calm her down makes her feel a little better Thank you, even if it means barely anything...it feels good knowing you tried she sniffs one last time before looking at you. Since we were enemies before, I never had the chance to properly introduce myself. My name's Vivian, what's yours?

You try to tell her, but remember...both your name and body have been stolen. This is going to be a very difficult thing to explain.
